helpcomputing supplies and supports Microsoft 365
Microsoft 365 is the next-generation way for you to update your Microsoft Office applications
and always keep them updated with the latest versions on up to 5 PCs or Macs per person.
And on up to 5 tablets and 5 mobiles too.
If you are about to buy a new computer, you should definitely consider Microsoft 365.
Microsoft 365 is a software service. Microsoft sells access to its software and services monthly, and so you pay a small amount monthly instead of
a large upfront cost.
Microsoft 365 is software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, for example. Microsoft 365 is also
cloud-based services such as OneDrive and mailbox services such as Microsoft Exchange.
Microsoft 365 is available for home users, business users and enterprise users.
The main use for home users and business users are usually centred around the Microsoft Office apps. For larger companies, the central attraction for Microsoft 365 Enterprise is perhaps based
around the availability of security and management for devices.
Should you consider Microsoft 365?
Larger businesses are considering a move to the cloud, and Microsoft 365 Enterprise makes some sense. You can move your existing physical servers to the cloud, and then manage your users and devices from the cloud.
And all at a cost that will be cheaper than maintaining servers and server rooms.
But for home users and small businesses, if you need to install Microsoft Office on two or more computers then, with Microsoft Office on a disk costing around £100 or more per computer, you should consider
Microsoft 365.
Replacing that large upfront cost with a smaller monthly payment means that you can use your licence to fully install Microsoft Office on up to 5 computers that you use, and you also get more features
including integration with OneDrive and optionally, a business-class mailbox.
